WRITING SAMPLE 1: CITY ACTION PLAN
AARP - Texas contracted my services to assist with community engagement for their Age-Friendly initiatives and to produce action plans for the cities of Dallas, Fort Worth, and San Antonio that would be used to guide policy implementation. The plans were formed through collaborative efforts by the cities and stakeholders with guidance from AARP; however, I produced all copy, graphic design, and layout for the action plans (except for the mayor's introductory letter).

WRITING SAMPLE 2: INDUSTRY EDUCATION
For ten years, I worked as a Licensing & Compliance Examiner for the State of Utah's Division of Securities. Routinely I was tasked with communicating complex, legal issues to lawyers in the securities industry, licensed securities professionals (brokers, advisers, fund managers), and untrained individuals who sought to engage in the securities business.

WRITING SAMPLE 3: ACADEMIC WRITING
Graduating from the University of Utah with degrees in Economics and Political Science, my studies focused on issues of public interest and government. To earn my Honors degree in Political Science, an additional requirement was to publish a lengthier thesis on a topic of my choosing.
